of Pregnancy Crisis Incorporated in Australia
Our principal activity is assisting persons in distress as a result of unplanned pregnancy by providing direct relief of suffering distress, poverty and misfortune.
Limited short term emergency crisis accommodation is provided to women with special needs, depending on availability. Further details are available from the Management Committee and all accommodation of clients must be approved by the Management Committee.
The Association aims to provide emotional and practical support and care to women and their unborn babies and to offer pregnant women immediate practical help.
Volunteers coordinate needs such as transportation for medical care, clothing, food and material needs.
Baby packs are provided free of charge to all clients on the birth of their child on the request of the client.
VISITATION AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT
Volunteers help ease the feeling of isolation and loneliness of people by visiting and offering friendly support and assistance.
COUNSELLING AND SERVICES
We can refer women who seek counselling to a professional counselling group
Our services will continue after the birth of the child for a limited period of approximately six months, depending on the needs of the client. The period of time is limited and is determined by the Management Committee.
